A Short History of the Law Offices of David M. Wallin
Thirty years ago, after many years of Dragnet, the F.B.I. Story, 1-Adam 12, I felt drawn to criminal law. I loved the stories, the drama.... It all excited me.
After graduating from Long Beach State University with my degree in Criminal Justice and then law school I entered the L.A. County D.A.'s office. Five years can change a man, and it changed me. I learned that police didn't always tell the truth. And I wasn't happy to learn that lesson. I learned that some D.A.'s love the power of the badge. While I was learning some lessons I would rather not have learned I also learned some very positive, valuable lessons. How to handle a jury trial... how to negotiate a case. How to care about another human being that may have made a mistake... and how to separate fact from fiction.
So some 17 plus years ago I took all the lessons learned and became a criminal defense attorney... helping human beings in trouble... one at a time... crying with clients, praying with clients and trying to show all my clients that we'll get through this together.
With these ideals in mind our office grew from myself and one paralegal to the largest and busiest criminal defense firm in the northern L.A. area. Now numbering an office of eleven of the hardest working attorneys and paralegals who specialize in only defending those accused of or charged with criminal offenses. We have garnered a reputation for fighting as hard as any person can for our clients... for not giving up.
Our practice has us defending people in L.A. County, Kern County, Orange County, San Bernardino and Ventura County.
We take pride in our work and unlike most firms with over 40 years of combined experience, we still love what we do... and I think that sets us apart from other law firms who only care about the bottom line... for us the bottom line is helping people.
And while I hope you never need us I hope that if you do, you give us a call and see if you don't notice the subtle differences that caring makes.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely yours, David Wallin
